French lawmakers pushing for English-free Paris Olympics
In their ongoing battle against the infiltration of English in various aspects such as advertising, music, and film, French Members of Parliament have shifted their focus on keeping the 2024 Paris Olympics free from Anglicisms.
A resolution passed by the lower house of parliament calls on organizers of the Paris Games, as well as participants and journalists, to prioritize the use of French whenever possible.
