Urgent Call for Establishment of Minimum Wage Committee by Organized Labour to Kwara Govt
The request by Organized Labour in Kwara State to the state government is to swiftly set up a committee for the implementation of a new minimum wage for workers.
During the May Day celebration in Ilorin, State NLC Chairman Comrade Muritala Saheed Olayinka and TUC counterpart Comrade Olufemi emphasized the importance of considering gender when forming the committee.
In his address, Murtala urged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to lead by example as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum by promptly executing the Federal Government minimum wage once it becomes law.
