Operation UDO KA Troops Eliminate Two IPOB/ESN Members Tasked with Enforcing Sit-at-Home Order

In a recent operation, troops from the Joint Task Force South-East, known as “Operation UDO KA,” successfully neutralised two individuals affiliated with the Indigenous People of Biafara (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network who were attempting to enforce an unlawful sit-at-home directive.

Working in collaboration with the Nigerian Navy, Police, Department of State Service, and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, the troops encountered members of the separatist group on Monday, July 29.

An official statement released in Enugu on Tuesday highlighted that while on patrol, the troops observed three Toyota Siennas and a Toyota Highlander approaching their location from the Ogboahia area in Abia State.

In the ensuing encounter, the courageous troops engaged the individuals in question, resulting in the neutralisation of two IPOB sit-at-home enforcers and the destruction of one of their Sienna vehicles.

Subsequent operations and thorough search efforts led to the recovery of a Toyota Highlander, a Toyota Sienna, a Kodiak camera, a Techno phone, and several cutlasses.

Intelligence reports indicate that in addition to the recently declared week-long sit-at-home order from July 29 to August 3, 2024, the militants are planning to exploit a national protest to unleash chaos and violence upon the unsuspecting populace in the South-East.
