As trading kicked off on Tuesday, European stock markets displayed contrasting trends. While London experienced a decline, indices in the eurozone saw gains.
The FTSE 100 index witnessed a 0.2% drop, settling at 8,279.32 points. On the other hand, the Paris CAC 40 surged by 0.3%, reaching 7,466.46 points, supported by data indicating a stronger-than-expected growth in the French economy during the second quarter.
Meanwhile, Frankfurt’s DAX index climbed by 0.3% to 18,374.89 points.
