A tragic incident occurred at the office of the Ondo East Local Government Area in Ondo State, as a staff member identified as Mathew slumped and passed away.
According to reports by Daily Trust, the resident of Elemosi in Ondo town arrived at the office on Friday, December 1st and later went to have breakfast in his parked vehicle within the LGA premises.
Surprisingly, he returned to the office and engaged in a conversation with his colleagues before suddenly collapsing. Despite efforts to revive him, he could not be saved.
Expressing shock at the sudden turn of events, a source stated, “He had no sign of ailment at all. This is shocking to us. We had to rush him to the hospital at Bolorunduro but doctors confirmed that he was dead on arrival. His death is just beyond our imagination.”
Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, confirmed the incident and added that the police is conducting an investigation to determine the true cause of the deceased’s passing.
