Olubadan of Ibadan Presents Beaded Crown to Ladoja

High Chief Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, who holds the title of Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, was recently bestowed with the Ibadan beaded crown by the esteemed Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin Ige Olakulehin 1.

In a grand ceremony held at the new Olubadan palace situated at Oke Aremo in Ibadan North Local Government Area, this significant event unfolded.

Capturing the essence of the occasion, various snapshots were taken during the event on Monday.

Despite his initial reluctance, Ladoja ultimately accepted the beaded crown from the Olubadan, accentuating the ceremonial atmosphere.

Among the distinguished guests present at the event was the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Abdul Raheem Adebayo Lawal, who added significance to the proceedings.

Notable figures like the Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Muhammad Abiodun Fadeyi, along with traditional rulers, political officeholders, and well-wishers, graced the occasion with their presence.

It was reported that this marked the inaugural official duty undertaken by the Olubadan following his enthronement on July 12.

Deputy Governor Lawal seized the moment to congratulate and laud the people of Ibadan, emphasizing the state government’s dedication to enhancing the traditional institution’s stature to a benchmark level deserving of national emulation.

Expressing his views, Ladoja underscored the unity and conflict resolution mechanisms intrinsic to the people of Ibadan.

Ladoja remarked, “They said we should do it the way it is supposed to be done. Ibadan is capable of doing its own thing. We have ways of doing our things. Once we enter the inner chamber, you must realize that things will change. All the problems are a result of misunderstanding.”
