‘Okai brands Yusuf Bichi as the most incompetent DSS DG in history’

Austin Okai, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, has labeled Yusuf Bichi, the recently removed Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), as the least effective leader the agency has ever had.

Okai criticized the appointment of Bichi, attributing it to the nepotism under former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

It has been announced that President Bola Tinubu appointed Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new DSS DG.

According to a statement from Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, “The newly appointed DSS Director-General, Mr. Adeola Ajayi, has gradually risen through the ranks to attain his current position as Assistant Director-General of the Service. He has previously served as State Director in Bauchi, Enugu, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Kogi.”

“These appointments come after the resignations of the former heads of the NIA and DSS,” the statement added.

Responding to the news, Okai expressed his opinion on X, stating, “Bichi was never the right fit for the position in the first place; it was Buhari’s favoritism that brought him out of retirement. He is undeniably one of the most incompetent @OfficialDSSNG DGs.”
