Ogun State Inaugurates 10 Customary Court Judges

The call to uphold integrity, impartiality, and commitment to the rule of law for a better society was made by Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, the Chief Judge of Ogun State, during the swearing-in ceremony of 10 new presidents and a member of Ogun State Customary Court at the Judiciary Complex on Kobape Road in Abeokuta.

Justice Dipeolu emphasized the importance of judicial officers being the epitome of integrity and ensuring public confidence in the judiciary. She urged them to avoid any actions that could tarnish the reputation of the courts.

Highlighting the significance of professionalism and dedication to justice in their appointment, Justice Dipeolu encouraged the judges to uphold justice, equity, and fairness in their duties.

In her address, she noted the pivotal role the judges would play in interpreting laws, customs, and ensuring the fair and timely administration of justice. The judges were reminded of the need for wisdom, integrity, and compassion in their roles.

Justice Dipeolu urged the judges to resist the temptation of abusing their powers and maintain the highest standards of integrity, impartiality, and fairness. She stressed the importance of accountability and transparency in their actions.

Justice Adebisi Femi-Segun, the President of Ogun State Customary Court of Appeal, commended the Chief Judge for appointing the new judges, emphasizing the importance of integrity and fairness in earning respect for the judiciary.

The newly appointed judges were encouraged to embrace their responsibilities with a high sense of duty and to uphold honesty, fairness, and respect for the rule of law. They were reminded of the significance of impartiality in dispensing justice.

Mrs. Oluwatosin Junaid, speaking on behalf of her colleagues, expressed their commitment to uplifting justice and maintaining the judiciary’s reputation through professionalism and integrity.
