Oba Elegushi: Denies Paternity of Mohbad’s Son

Oba Saheed Elegushi, the Elegushi of IkateElegushi Kingdom, has refuted claims suggesting that he is the father of Liam, the son of the late singer, IleriOluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.

The monarch dismissed the rumors, labeling them as an attempt to damage his reputation.

Following Mohbad’s passing, there have been ongoing discussions regarding the paternity of Liam, with the late singer’s father requesting a DNA test to confirm if Liam is indeed his grandson.

A TikToker by the name Oloriebimusicproduction2 alleged on his TikTok page multiple times that the monarch may have played a role in Mohbad’s demise. There were further claims that Oba Elegushi was using his influence to obstruct justice for the late singer.

In response, Oba Elegushi termed these accusations as unfounded and aimed at tarnishing his character.

The monarch also revealed that he has taken legal action against those spreading these allegations.

In a statement released by his media consultant, Deyemi Saka, it was stated, “We want to address a recent desperate attempt to involve His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Elegushi, in the unnecessary paternity dispute concerning the son of Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.”

“The false claims were being circulated by individuals with the following profiles on the social platform TikTok: Oloriebimusicproduction2, PEKINS RULES, and WESTO4LIVE. Additionally, the same misinformation was being spread by Auto Success Ola, Olubukola Jesse, Teni Ologo, and Tolani Ilesanmi.”

“We want to clarify that these accusations are baseless and merely products of the imaginations of these individuals.”

“HRM Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, with the assistance of his legal team, has lodged a petition against these parties with the Nigerian Police and other relevant security agencies to protect his rights and shield him from cyberbullying. He hopes for collaborative efforts between the Nigerian Police and international security organizations to seek justice.”

Oba Elegushi expressed condolences to Mohbad’s family while urging the public to abstain from pulling the traditional institution into the paternity dispute.

“It is important to clarify that Oba Elegushi, along with many Nigerians, mourns the sudden loss of Mohbad and calls for a thorough investigation and swift justice.”

“We extend our prayers to the Alobas for strength during this difficult time and implore individuals to refrain from tarnishing the reputation of His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Elegushi, and the esteemed traditional institution he represents,” the statement concluded.
