Nyesom Wike: Unprecedented Developments Unveiled During Project Inspection

On Wednesday, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, led an inspection of the ongoing construction of Naharati-River Ukya to Uguwan Hausawa Road in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.

Accompanied by FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, Wike emphasized that the road construction in satellite towns would enhance rural connectivity and deter rural-urban migration in the FCT.

He highlighted that the infrastructure development would positively impact the lives of grassroots communities, attributing the progress to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s determination under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Dispelling rumors about a concentration of development in the city center, Wike highlighted the significant achievements in satellite towns over the past year.

Expressing his satisfaction, Wike praised the transformative efforts, stating, “This unparalleled progress signifies a revolutionary change, aimed at uplifting our rural areas.”

Emphasizing the importance of infrastructure in curbing rural-urban migration, Wike urged for continued support and dialogue between the government and rural populace, discouraging violent protests for national benefit.

Reflecting on the developments witnessed within the past year, he affirmed, “The provision of substantial infrastructure in rural areas stands as a testament to the ongoing progress under Mr. President’s administration.”

Urging against misconceptions, Wike invited individuals to witness firsthand the impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda in driving rural development in the FCT.
