Nyesom Wike Lists Completed Projects, Fulfills Promises in FCT

In a recent development, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has outlined the completed projects under his administration in the nation’s capital.

Wike affirmed that his administration has been dedicated to fulfilling commitments made to the residents of the Territory.

During a routine inspection of ongoing road projects in the city center of Abuja over the weekend, the FCT Minister highlighted various projects that have been successfully completed.

Some of these projects include the Construction of the Southern Parkway from the Christian Centre to Ring Road 1, the Full development of the Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) from Villa Roundabout to Ring Road 1, and the Construction of the Vice President’s official residence.

Additionally, projects such as the Completion of B6 and B12 Circle Road, also known as Independence and Constitution Avenue, and the comprehensive development of the Arterial Road, N20 from Northern Parkway (Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Expressway) to Outer Northern Expressway (Murtala Mohammed Expressway) were also mentioned.

Reflecting on the commitment made by the FCT Administration to the residents to finalize the ongoing road projects by May this year to showcase President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s first-year achievements in office, Wike expressed confidence that the projects were progressing well towards completion.

He further stated that the projects were nearing 98 percent completion and lauded the contractors for their dedication to meeting the deadline for project delivery in May this year.

Wike remarked, “This is a commitment honored as promised. We assured the residents of Abuja that during the one-year celebration, we would have numerous projects ready for inauguration by Mr. President.”

“We have inspected the Southern Parkway being executed by Setraco, nearly at 98 percent completion. The progress at OSEX undertaken by CGC is remarkable. The landscapes are truly impressive, nearing 98 percent completion,” he added.

He continued, “Our visit to the VP’s residence managed by Julius Berger revealed that all furniture and preparations are in place, with only finishing touches pending.”

“Subsequently, we visited B6, B12, which are slated for commissioning, and here in N20, at 98 percent readiness,” he highlighted.

Expressing his gratitude to all the companies involved for adhering to their commitments, Wike acknowledged their assurance that all projects would be commissioned by May.
