Nuhu Ribadu: Tinubu’s Decision to Appoint Northerners in Key Government Roles Was Deliberate

National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu revealed on Thursday that President Bola Tinubu made a conscious choice to have individuals from the Northern region in significant roles within his administration.

Ribadu emphasized that Tinubu’s intention was to entrust North-based officials with important responsibilities to effectively tackle the region’s challenges.

During his address in Sokoto, Ribadu highlighted Tinubu’s commitment to addressing Northern issues by appointing Northerners to key positions.

“When Tinubu was assembling his government, he expressed his deep concern for the North and his determination to address its difficulties,” Ribadu stated.

He pointed out that Tinubu allocated crucial roles in security, defense, agriculture, education, health, and foreign affairs to Northerners in a bid to enhance the region’s prospects.

Moreover, he urged Northerners to set aside their differences and collaborate towards the progress of their region and the nation as a whole.
