NPFL, NFF and Enyimba FC conspicuously snub former Enyimba captain Chinedu Udoji on his death anniversary

Former Enyimba captain Chinedu Udoji, who tragically passed away on February 18, 2018, was conspicuously snubbed by the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Enyimba Football club, and the Nigeria Football Federation on his death anniversary. Many Nigeria football fans expressed their tributes to the late player on Twitter.

Despite being an icon of the Nigerian local league during his playing days and winning multiple titles with Enyimba FC, including two Nigeria Premier Football League titles and two Federations Cups, the three organizations did not pay any tribute to Udoji.

Udoji was involved in a fatal accident a few hours after playing in a 1-1 draw against his former club Enyimba. His former teammates, NPFL players, and fans shared emotional tributes on Twitter, contrasting the lack of acknowledgement from the NPFL, NFF, and Enyimba’s social media platforms.

Despite spending seven successful years at Enyimba, winning several titles including the NPFL, Udoji was not recognized by the organizations on his death anniversary. This lack of acknowledgment has sparked controversy and disappointment among the football community.
