The newly appointed Rivers United head coach, Finidi George, has expressed his desire to make a big impact at the club, NewsNow reports.
Finidi’s appointment was confirmed by the former Nigeria Premier Football League champions on Wednesday.
The former Ajax winger revealed that he desires to help the club pick a continental ticket next season.
“I am honoured to have this opportunity, and I thank the Sports Commissioner, the General Manager, and the supporters for their confidence in me. I am committed to working hard and making the team win,” Finidi said at the contract signing ceremony.
“The target set is to win games and at least finish on the continent next season.”
Finidi helped Enyimba win the NPFL title during his three-year stint with the two-time African champions.
