Nollywood Star Eniola Ajao Seeks Support from Nigerians, Refutes Allegations of Awarding Bobrisky

In a recent statement, actress and filmmaker Eniola Ajao addressed the controversy surrounding the ‘Best Dressed Female’ award supposedly given to the controversial figure Bobrisky at the premiere of her film ‘Ajakaju’.

Reports had claimed that Bobrisky received the award and a N1 million cheque at the event, but Ajao dismissed these claims during an interview with Arise TV, labeling Bobrisky’s award as deceptive.

Despite clarifications provided by Ajao, criticism of her movie premiere has persisted on various social media platforms. Consequently, she took to her Instagram page to share a video message, refuting the allegations of awarding Bobrisky and appealing to Nigerians for support.

Ajao implored the public to show their support by watching her movie in cinemas, emphasizing that the success of her film is crucial to her financial well-being, especially in light of the backlash over the Bobrisky controversy.

She explained that the award presented to Bobrisky was primarily a promotional strategy, stressing the importance of audience support for the success of her project.

In her plea, Ajao stated, “I urge everyone to come out and support me so that I do not face financial difficulties. I have invested all I had in this project and rely on your assistance. The decision to involve Bobrisky was a strategic move to promote the film. Please, I beseech Nigerians to assist me in this endeavor. This film was well-received by industry professionals, and I take immense pride in its quality.”
