Nigerian funnyman, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, couldn’t help but take a light jab at Wizkid while giving props to his fellow artist Davido for capturing the limelight with his wedding festivities that are currently dominating social media.
He humorously remarked on the challenge of promoting his upcoming show amidst the overwhelming attention that Davido’s wedding is receiving at the moment.
Even the recent social media drama involving Wizkid didn’t manage to steal the spotlight, as everyone’s focus remained fixated on Davido and Chioma’s nuptials.
In a post on his Instagram, Basketmouth quipped: “Davido’s wedding has completely taken over the social media scene.
“Unless we resort to using the hashtag Chivido2024 for promotion. But I doubt that’ll be a successful approach.
“Because, when it comes to Wizkid throwing shade, it seems like no one is paying attention.”
Recent reports by NewsNow highlighted a stir caused by Wizkid, who tweeted “Lol [lots of laughs]” shortly after Davido revealed his pre-wedding photos with Chioma.
Adding to the intrigue, Wizkid posted a tweet expressing his prayers for all understanding women, a gesture that some fans interpreted as a dig at Chioma, known for her patience despite the infidelity allegations surrounding Davido.
Nevertheless, Wizkid clarified that his tweets were being misinterpreted by people.
