Nigeria National League, NNL, chairman, George Aluo has congratulated El-Kanemi Warriors for winning the 2024 President Federation Cup.
The Maiduguri club claimed the title following a 2-0 victory over Abia Warriors at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
It was El-Kanemi Warriors’ third President Federation Cup title.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side earlier in the season gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, from the NNL.
Aluo, in a message to El-Kanemi Warriors, said, “You have proven yourselves to be a worthy testaments, and so your ticket to the NPFL was no fluke.
“This is victory for NNL and we are proud of your achievement. Your feat also defines quality in our league NNL as the Most Important league in Nigeria.
“We want to urge you to keep up the great effort and squeeze every opportunity for more success at the NPFL and CAF Confederation Cup in the new season.”
