NLO reverses ban on Ogbomosho United players and officials

Four players and officials from Ogbomosho United who were previously banned by the NLO have had their ban lifted.

The ban was imposed after reports surfaced of an assault on match officials during the 2023-24 season.

A memo sent to the club from the NLO confirmed the decision to reverse the ban.

In a section of the memo, it was stated, “Following a thorough assessment of the appeal letter from your club, the NLO is pleased to announce the nullification of the ban and sanctions imposed on your players and officials.”

“This reconsideration was made after a detailed examination of the incident, taking into account their commitment to upholding the principles of sportsmanship and professionalism in future interactions.”

“We anticipate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and fair play from your club as they strive to create a positive and nurturing football environment.”
