The first public statement from Nollywood actor Nkem Owoh since his daughter’s passing has been released.
NewsNow revealed the news that the veteran actor lost his 24-year-old daughter to liver cancer on June 28.
The family held her burial on August 24 in her father’s homeland of Enugu State, two months after her passing.
Nkem took to Instagram to express his gratitude for the love and support he and his family have received.
He stated that in times of tragedy, the assurance of not being alone is invaluable.
The veteran acknowledged that his daughter’s unexpected passing has caused him deep grief, but he believes that with the support he is receiving, he will overcome it.
“I want to thank you all for the support and love shown to me and my family. When tragedy strikes, there is nothing more heartening than knowing that you’re not alone.”
