Nigeria’s Opeyori Exits Olympics 2024 Badminton Tournament

In the men’s Paris 2024 Olympic Badminton event, Nigeria’s Anuoluwapo Opeyori has been knocked out.

His exit came after facing a 0-2 defeat against the sixth-ranked player in the world, Li Shifeng of China, on Thursday.

Opeyori put up a tough fight, pushing his Chinese opponent to earn every point in the match.

The final score saw him losing 17-21, 17-21 to Li Shifeng.

This defeat marked his second loss in Group N of the men’s singles event.

It is worth noting that Opeyori was also defeated by Tobias Kuenzi of Switzerland at Le Chapelle Arena on Wednesday.
