Nigerians Urged to Offer Prayers for Tinubu’s Success, APC Secretary Appeals

Encouraging continued prayers for President Bola Tinubu, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ajibola Basiru, emphasized the importance of supporting Tinubu’s administration for the betterment of the country.

Basiru, following the Eid al-Adha celebrations at the Osogbo Central Eid praying ground in Osogbo, Osun State, stressed the significance of the occasion and the need for devotion, humility, and obedience to God’s commands.

Among those present at the Eid praying ground were Shiek Musa Animasahun, Chief Imam of Osogbo, Dr. Olatunde Badmus, the Asiwaju Muslim for South West, Edo and Delta States, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, the Ataoja of Osogbo, and Mr. Teslim Igbalaye, the Secretary to the State Government.

Basiru concluded by sending felicitations to Muslims and Nigerians, urging them to maintain dedication to piety, integrity, and humility, considering selflessness as essential for societal improvement.

“We urge Nigerians to continue praying for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration,” stated Basiru.

On the occasion, major streets in Osogbo witnessed minimal traffic congestion as Muslim faithful gathered at various Eid praying grounds for prayers.

There was also a surge in the purchase of rams for the celebration as prices experienced a slight decline compared to previous rates.

In the Oke Baale Area, potential buyers were seen negotiating prices with sellers on Sunday morning.

Amadou, a ram vendor in the area, mentioned during an interview, “We had to reduce prices today as sales might slow down after the celebration. Some rams that were sold for N250,000 on Saturday are now going for N210,000. The market is quite slow.”
