Nigerians Urged by Gov Oborevwori to Maintain Harmony During Eid el-Kabir

Encouraging peaceful coexistence, regardless of faith or ethnicity, was the message conveyed by Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori emphasized the importance of showing love and care towards one another.

He called upon Muslims to embrace the selfless principles demonstrated by Prophet Mohammed, highlighting the significance of sacrifice, love, harmony, and family time during the Eid el-Kabir celebration.

Expressing his felicitations to the Muslim community in Delta and across Nigeria, he stressed the need for maintaining peaceful coexistence, loving one another, and offering prayers for the progress and tranquility of the country.

Assuring the public of the preparedness of security agencies to ensure a peaceful Sallah celebration in the state, Governor Oborevwori committed to continuing the partnership with Muslims to drive the state forward.

He further urged everyone to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to reflect, pray for the nation’s challenges to be surmounted, and emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration with all levels of government.

His call to action included promoting peaceful coexistence among people of diverse tribes and religious beliefs, encouraging individuals to be supportive and considerate of one another.
