Nigeria Premier Football League Enters Partnership with LaLiga Club, Sevilla

Sevilla FC, a Spanish football club, has recently entered into a partnership with the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

During his visit to the club’s facilities in Spain, NPFL chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye, officially signed the agreement.

This collaboration aims to offer guidance in various sporting aspects, particularly in coach training and nurturing the potential of young Nigerian players.

Expressing his optimism, Elegbeleye mentioned, “With our 20 clubs in the Nigerian Premier League, each having their own youth academies, I acknowledge the rich history and achievements of Sevilla FC.”

“Being a reputable club with a legacy of winning trophies in Spain and Europe, I believe that Nigeria stands to gain from their development strategies and youth programs,” he added.

Elegbeleye further stated, “We envision a scenario where the top talents from Nigeria’s Youth League can annually come here for rigorous training. Upon their return, aided by your guidance, they can elevate their skills.”

He also highlighted, “An additional coaching agreement will be advantageous for our coaches, fostering a mutually beneficial environment for everyone involved in the NPFL.”
