James Guyton, a rapidly emerging American music sensation with Nigerian roots, has revealed his latest album titled “BLOCK”.
The album, a testament to his commitment to championing Nigerian artists and their music, features collaborations with two Nigerian music stars @dopestdjfemzey and @Original_jdee.
This new project, already creating waves in the digital sphere, marks JG’s strategic effort to rejuvenate the rap genre in Nigeria, which he believes has lost its prominence in the local music industry.
According to JG’s country Manager, Sunday Chibuike, “Nigerians can anticipate JG’s forthcoming release in Nigeria titled ‘IGWE #IGBO OFFICIAL’ by the end of March, 2020.”
In recognition of his Nigerian heritage, James Guyton was recently conferred with the High Chieftaincy title of “The Nwannedimamba of Ofeme, Umuahia” by the Ofeme Ancient Kingdom, Abia State, as announced by the Palace of His Royal Highness, Eze E.C.O Udoka (KSM). The community also bestowed upon him the new Igbo name CHIWETARA.
The celebration of the chieftaincy title and the naming ceremony will coincide with the official launch of his second album in Nigeria on the 21st of March 2020.
