Nigeria cited by the WHO as a country effectively tackling Coronavirus (video)

The World Health Organization has acknowledged Nigeria’s effective handling of the coronavirus. This recognition comes in the wake of the WHO declaring the virus a “pandemic”. At a press conference in Geneva, Michael Ryan, head of the WHO Emergencies Programme, commended Nigeria’s rapid response to the virus after confirming its first case. He lauded the country for setting up a 100-bed isolation unit within 48 hours of the confirmation. However, Ryan also highlighted the unequal development of isolation and clinical support in different countries.
