Niger Tornadoes face narrow defeat to Heartland, Mohammed regrets missed opportunities

After their 1-0 loss to Heartland at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Niger Tornadoes coach Majin Mohammed attributed the defeat to missed chances.

The winning goal was scored by Chukwudi Esobe against the Ikon Allah Boys.

Reflecting on the match, Mohammed expressed, “We had our opportunities, but we couldn’t convert them.”

He also emphasized the team’s precarious position in the league, stating, “Niger Tornadoes are still not safe from relegation, considering the tight competition in the standings.”

Looking ahead, Mohammed highlighted the importance of securing maximum points in their upcoming home game against Sunshine Stars.

With 48 points from 37 matches, Niger Tornadoes currently occupy the 12th spot in the league table.
