New PSO appointed for FRSC Corps Marshal

Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Meshach Jatau has been appointed as the new Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed.

Announcing this development was the Corps Public Education and Strategic Communications Officer, Mr Olusegun Ogungbemide, in a statement released in Abuja on Friday.

The appointment forms part of the Corps Marshal’s strategic plan to enhance the performance of the corps.

Jatau has been tasked by the corps marshal to utilize his extensive experience to instill a fresh sense of optimism within the corps.

Prior to this role, Jatau served as the Zonal Commanding Officer at RS4HQ Jos.

He succeeds Deputy Corps Marshal Chidiebere Nkwonta, who was recently promoted and reassigned to oversee the Training Department of the corps.

With a master’s degree in Literature in English from the University of Jos, Jatau is a fellow of the Army War College Nigeria, FWC, and an alumnus of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA.

He has undergone various training programs, including courses in speech writing, International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL), Automobile, and Environmental Safety Policy.
