New COVID-19 cases in Nigeria

On Monday, May 11, 2020, Nigeria recorded 242 new cases of COVID-19.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 88 cases in Lagos, 64 in Kano, 49 in Katsina, 13 in Kaduna, 9 in Ogun, 6 in Gombe, 4 in Adamawa, 3 in FCT, 1 in Ondo, 1 in Oyo, 1 in Rivers, 1 in Zamfara, 1 in Borno, and 1 in Bauchi State.

 

The health agency also rectified an error made in its announcement on the 10th of April, stating that they erroneously announced two new deaths instead of one in Nasarawa State.

Nigeria now has a total of 4641 confirmed cases of COVID-19. 902 patients have been discharged from various isolation centers across the country, while 150 deaths have been recorded.
