Netflix Raises Subscription Prices for Users in Nigeria

Shortly after the recent price adjustment, Netflix has once again decided to raise subscription fees for its users in Nigeria.

This latest increase impacts all subscription packages with a noticeable percentage increase across the board.

According to Netflix, this move is aimed at boosting its revenue and earnings growth to facilitate the expansion of its content offerings.

Following the latest price adjustment, Nigerian subscribers will now be required to pay N7,000 monthly for Netflix’s Premium Plan, marking a 40% surge from its previous pricing of N5,000.

The Standard Plan subscription has been raised by 37.5%, jumping from N4,000 to N5,500. This plan is popular among Nigerian users for its HD quality and multi-screen viewing capabilities.

Meanwhile, the Basic Plan, previously priced at N2,900, has now seen a 21% increase, bringing it to N3,500. The Mobile Plan, Netflix’s most affordable option, has experienced an 83% hike from N1,200 to N2,200.

Recall that in April 2024, Netflix had also adjusted subscription prices for its Nigerian users.
