NEMA Receives 113 Nigerians Repatriated from Niger Republic

In a statement released by Ibrahim Farinloye, the coordinator of NEMA’s Lagos Territorial Office, it was announced that the National Emergency Management Agency has received 113 Nigerians who were stranded in Niger Republic. The repatriation took place on Monday, October 30.

The returnees were brought back to Nigeria by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) on a voluntary basis. They were flown into the country on a Sky Mali chartered flight, landing at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State at approximately 2 pm.

The statement provided details on the composition of the group of returnees. It stated that there were 15 adult females, including 2 who had medical conditions, as well as 76 adult males, 7 female children, 15 male children, and 1 female infant on board the aircraft.
