Negative test results for 18 nurses in Kano


It has been reported that 18 nurses in Kano state have tested positive for Coronavirus. The state chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ibrahim Mohammed, revealed this to the media on May 6. He said that out of 86 samples of nurses, 18 have tested positive for the virus.

According to Muhammad, 9 of the positive cases are from National Orthopedic Hospital, Dala, 7 from Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, and 2 from state hospitals.

He emphasized the need for the government to provide health professionals with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) so that they can effectively carry out their duties.

The Kano chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association also confirmed that 34 of their members have tested positive for COVID-19 in Kano.
