The 4-Year Marriage Between Ne-Yo and Crystal Smith Reportedly Comes to an End
The news has surfaced that American R&B singer Ne-Yo has parted ways with his wife, Crystal Smith, after four years of marriage.
According to The Jasmine Brand, Ne-Yo and Crystal Smith have separated and have been facing ongoing issues for a considerable amount of time.
A source revealed to the outlet, “Crystal left him. She’s had enough.” Allegedly, Crystal is prepared to initiate the legal process for divorce later this month.
Smith has reportedly removed all photos of the “So Sick” singer from her Instagram account.
In a New Year’s post, Ne-Yo hinted at the challenges the couple faced in 2019.
“2019 had its bumps and bruises, yes sure,” he captioned a picture of himself and Smith, “But it’s not about the difficulty, it’s about one’s ability to realize when something is worth fighting for and one’s willingness to push thru to the potential greatness of a situation. There’s no such thing as perfect, a lesson we both had to learn and lock in. But perfect for each other is a real thing. And that’s you and me.”
Ne-Yo and Crystal, who tied the knot in 2016, have two children together, Shaffer Smith Jr and Roman Alexander-Raj Smith.
The R&B singer also has two children with his former partner, Monyetta Shaw. Ne-Yo had convinced Shaw to have her tubes tied, agreeing to undergo a sterilization procedure himself, but that never happened. Instead, he parted ways with Shaw to marry Crystal Smith and had two more children with her.
