Nasarawa Residents Celebrate Kano Governor’s Supreme Court Victory

Residents of Nasarawa State came together in the Keana Local Government Area to celebrate the recent Supreme Court victory of Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf.

The gathering consisted of members and supporters of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, which was established by former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso. The movement, identified by the iconic red cap, aims to support the underprivileged and expand its political presence.

During the celebration, Usman Dikko, the convener of the group in Keana LG, applauded President Bola Tinubu for respecting the court’s decision, emphasizing the importance of upholding democracy.

Dikko also urged the Supreme Court to approach the ongoing dispute over the Nasarawa State governorship election in a fair and impartial manner to maintain peace and unity within the state.

He highlighted the Kwankwasiyya Movement’s commitment to elevating the less fortunate and expressed gratitude for Governor Yusuf’s triumph, despite the challenges faced at the tribunal and appeal court.

Meanwhile, Muhammed Shuaibu, the National Organising Secretary of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, encouraged Governor Yusuf to continue serving the people who supported him during the 2023 governorship election, citing his positive impact through skill development and job creation initiatives.
