Mourning in Community as Nigerian Boy’s Body Found in Texas Lake

In Fort Bend County, Texas, USA, the community of Richmond is in mourning after the tragic discovery of the body of an eight-year-old Nigerian boy named Ryan Akagbusi in a local lake.

The Texas authorities confirmed the boy, a non-verbal minor, went missing from his Richmond home around 4:30 am on August 24, 2024, and sadly, his body was found the next day.

Tragically, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office announced on Facebook that Ryan’s body was found in the lake by Texas EquuSearch, bringing the search to a heartbreaking conclusion.

An outpouring of sympathy from residents flooded the official Facebook page of the Sheriff’s Office as they expressed condolences to the grieving family.

Residents highlighted the importance of diligent checks, with some suggesting incorporating swimming lessons in school curriculums to prevent such tragedies in the future.
