Sharing on Twitter, a mother recounted her son’s reaction to receiving a below-average score on the English homework she had assisted him with.
According to @reedahkh, her son scored 2 out of 5 on the homework and has since been concealing his assignments from her to avoid her help.
The mother wrote: “Last week my son brought home English homework, and we worked on it together. The next time he had English homework, he hid it from me, having scored 2 out of 5 on the previous one.”
She added: “I told him that back in my day, his answer was considered correct.”
She mentioned that her son now prefers to seek assistance from his aunt rather than from her for his English lessons.
She said: “He kept insisting that my younger sister will teach him English while I can help him with math. I didn’t realize the boy was being so clever.”
“Yesterday, when I picked him up from school, he said to me, ‘Mimi, there’s English homework today, but don’t worry, I’ve already done it.'”
