An online video shows the moment 21-year-old Tyrese Devon Haspil, former personal assistant of Gokada CEO, Fahim Saleh, was arrested for Saleh’s gruesome murder in his $2.2m luxury New York penthouse.
Haspil reportedly attacked and killed Saleh on Monday, July 13. He then took Saleh’s credit card, used it to purchase cleaning supplies, and returned to the New York apartment on Tuesday where he dismembered him. Haspil stopped and escaped from the back staircase after Saleh’s sister unexpectedly came to the flat to check on her brother when he didn’t pick her calls.
Police believe Haspil killed Saleh in order to avoid paying back tens of thousands of dollars he stole from the tech entrepreneur. Saleh had discovered that his PA had stolen from him. Instead of reporting him to the authorities, Saleh terminated Haspil’s employment and set up a repayment plan for Haspil to pay him back. Haspil chose to kill Saleh instead. Police think this was the motive for the murder.
