Mobile Classroom App Provides Free Online Access for Nigerian Students Amid Nationwide School Closure

During the nationwide suspension of academic activities, Mobile Classroom, a mobile application designed to facilitate audio-visual learning through devices like phones and computers, has announced free access to its online portal for all Nigerian secondary school students without the need for subscription.

The Chief Executive Officer of Save-A-Lot Limited and the mind behind the app, Mr. Akeem Salami, stated, “The Mobile Classroom online portal is now available to Nigerian students free of charge during this period of nationwide school closure mandated by the federal government. Mobile Classroom aims to be a valuable learning platform for millions of Nigerian students, especially those preparing for their senior secondary school examinations organized by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).”
Salami further explained that students can easily register and log in by downloading the Mobile Classroom App from the Google Play Store on their mobile phones. Alternatively, those who prefer using laptops can complete the registration process by logging in through the website www.mobileclassroom.com.ng. Upon registration with their functional email addresses and selected passwords, students can access lectures on any topic and subject of their choice from the comfort of their homes.
In Salami’s words, “This is a prime opportunity for parents and students to benefit from the support of a mobile classroom without incurring any additional costs during this emergency break. Within the mobile classroom, students can select a topic, and the teacher will appear on their device to conduct a lesson in the comfort of their homes. This platform is therefore declared free for this period as the world grapples with the pandemic.”
He advised students to avoid crowded gatherings to minimize the risk of contracting the virus. “We are making efforts to communicate this opportunity to all state ministries of education for the benefit of their students nationwide.”
