Military kills Kachalla, three other notorious terrorist commanders

The killing of four notorious terrorist commanders has been confirmed by the Defence Headquarters following air strikes conducted within the week.

Machika, Haro, Dan Muhammadu, and Ali Alhaji Alheri, also known as Kachalla Ali Kawaje, were the four terrorist commanders neutralized in the airstrikes.

The statement was made by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, in Abuja on Saturday. Buba mentioned that Machika was an expert in terrorist bomb-making, Haro and Dan Muhammadu specialized in kidnapping and assault operations respectively.

A coordinated strike between air and ground forces on December 11 led to the killing of Kachalla Kawaje, a notorious terrorist leader responsible for the abduction of students from the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara. The strike took place in the Munya Local Government Area of Niger, where Kachalla and his foot soldiers were neutralized.

The military is closely pursuing other terrorist leaders, and they are expected to face a similar fate. Aggressive air flights were carried out by air assets on confirmed locations, resulting in the killing of over 38 terrorist commanders and their foot soldiers, with 159 others arrested.
