Military Court Martial for Two Personnel Over Tudun Biri Drone Strikes


In response to the drone strikes on Tudun Biri community in Kaduna State that resulted in the deaths of numerous innocent citizens, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has announced that two personnel will face a military court martial.

During a media briefing on Thursday, Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Information (DDI), acknowledged that errors were made in the drone strikes and that investigations have confirmed it was a case of mistaken identity.

The incident, which occurred on December 3, 2023, in Tudun Biri village, Igabi local government area of Kaduna State, led to the unfortunate loss of lives.

The DHQ spokesperson stated, “Those responsible will be subjected to military court martial for their actions,” without elaborating further on the disciplinary actions to be taken against them.

While assuring the public of accountability, the spokesperson emphasized that the two individuals involved in the drone strikes would be facing the military court martial proceedings.
