Mikel Arteta Explains Thomas Partey’s Absence Against Man Utd

The absence of Thomas Partey from Arsenal’s squad to face Manchester United has been clarified by manager Mikel Arteta.

Speaking before the game at the Emirates, Arteta confirmed that the Ghanaian midfielder “felt something in training.”

No specific timeline has been provided for Partey’s return, as further tests will be conducted.

“We need a few more tests as he felt something during training,” explained Arteta.

The club also tweeted that Partey is dealing with a groin problem.

In his absence, Arteta has made three changes to the starting lineup.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Eddie Nketiah are all included in the Gunners’ starting XI.
