Dr Roy Reveals Mercy Chinwo Unaware of Unfair Treatment by EeZee Tee

According to music producer Dr. Roy, gospel artist Mercy Chinwo was oblivious to the unjust treatment he endured from the former record label boss they both worked for.

Dr. Roy made these revelations during an interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast, hosted by on-air personality Nedu Ani and others. He used to work at Eezee Concept Records, owned by Ezekiel ThankGod, popularly known as EeZee Tee, where he alleged mistreatment by the record label boss.

Despite producing hit tracks like ‘Excess Love’ for Mercy Chinwo, who was signed to the label seven years ago, Dr. Roy claimed that EeZee Tee withheld his financial dues.

Speaking on Mercy Chinwo’s knowledge of the situation, Dr. Roy mentioned, “For the onset, Mercy did not know what was happening. I don’t know why Mercy left, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she faced similar treatment as I did. For Mercy’s sake, I shielded her from the maltreatment and how I was treated by EeZee Tee.”

He recounted a touching moment when Mercy Chinwo generously supported him during a trying time, “Someone close to me informed Mercy about my father’s passing. She reached out, provided financial assistance, and expressed her condolences. She was unaware of my struggles under EeZee Tee’s management.”

Dr. Roy further clarified his stance in a video shared on Instagram, emphasizing his respect for Mercy Chinwo’s talent and character, while reiterating that his comments were directed towards the record label owner, not the artist. He also debunked claims that Mercy Chinwo had ever denied him assistance.
