A total of 81 individuals have been taken into custody by the Sokoto State Command of the Nigerian Police Force for a range of infractions during the recent #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstration.
ASP Ahmed Rufai, the spokesperson for the command, revealed this during an interview with our reporter last night.
Rufai explained that the detainees had allegedly used the guise of a peaceful protest to engage in various illegal activities.
He further pledged to release more detailed information about the arrests via an upcoming press release.
