Jamie Carragher, the Liverpool legend, has expressed his belief that Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo is destined to become a superstar.
During an appearance on Sky Sports, Carragher revealed his admiration for the talented midfielder from England.
Mainoo had a breakthrough season under Erik ten Hag’s management last year.
The 19-year-old was also selected for the Euro 2024 squad, where England faced defeat in the final against Spain.
Carragher commented, stating: “I believe he has been a phenomenal discovery. I derive great pleasure from watching him play and witnessing his performances over the summer.”
“He emerged last season when there were doubts about United’s midfield. Initially, it was about finding a partner for Casemiro, and now the focus is on supporting Mainoo. In my opinion, he is on the path to becoming a superstar.”
