Confirmation has come from football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano that Manchester City has successfully secured the services of Christian McFarlane from New York City FC in Major League Soccer.
In a recent update on Monday, Romano made the announcement through his official account on Twitter.
The talented 17-year-old left-back opted to join the Premier League champions, turning down offers from clubs including Brighton and various teams from Germany.
“There is an agreement in place for Manchester City to add Christian McFarlane to their roster from NYCFC,” Romano’s tweet stated.
“McFarlane has declined offers from Brighton and several German clubs to sign with Manchester City.”
“This represents another significant addition to the Manchester City Academy, following the earlier signing of Cavan Suvillian.”
