Madame Tussauds London Removes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Wax Figures from Royal Family Display

Madame Tussauds, the waxwork museum, has officially taken down the figures of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, from their royal family display in London. This decision follows the couple’s announcement of stepping back as ‘senior royals’ and their plans to become ‘financially independent’ while dividing their time between the UK and North America.

The wax figures of Prince Harry and Meghan were unveiled in May 2018, prior to their extravagant wedding in Windsor, England. However, these figures have now been removed, while those of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Catherine, continue to be exhibited alongside the figures of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wax figures officially removed from Madame Tussauds Royal Family display in London

Steve Davies, the general manager of the London museum, stated to the Evening Standard that the wax figures of Harry and Meghan will no longer be part of the royal family display.

According to Davies, “As two of our most popular and well-loved figures, they will, of course, remain an important feature at Madame Tussauds London as we watch to see what the next chapter holds for them.”

Reacting to the surprising news of the couple’s decision, Davies also confirmed to the Independent that the figures of Meghan and Harry will no longer be part of the royal family set at Madame Tussauds London.

Furthermore, Davies mentioned that despite the removal from the display, the wax figures will still be retained within the museum.
