Revealing his choice for the best goalkeeper in the world, Inter Miami sensation Lionel Messi has named Emi Martinez as his top pick.
During Argentina’s victorious 2022 World Cup campaign in Qatar, both Messi and Martinez played pivotal roles.
Martinez, who also clinched the FIFA Best Goalkeeper award last year, impressed Messi with his performances.
Speaking to ESPN, Messi stated, “I believe that he is undoubtedly one of the best in the world, if not the absolute best.”
“His contributions to both the national team and his club have been exceptional,” Messi added.
“At his current club, he plays a crucial role as a cornerstone of the team, successfully achieving his career objective of competing in the Champions League.”
