Legacy of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Praised by Imo Monarchs

His Royal Highness Eze George Eke, Chairman of Mbaitoli Council of Traditional Rulers in Imo State, lauded the late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, as a distinguished patriot who prioritized national unity and cohesion above all else.

Similarly, His Royal Highness Oliver Ohanwe, Chairman of Okigwe Zone Global Elders and Leaders Council, praised the departed statesman as a humanitarian, a seasoned politician, and a champion of humanity.

Speaking individually in Owerri, the two monarchs urged Ohanaeze Ndigbo not to falter in their mission following the demise of Chief Iwuanyanwu, a stalwart advocate for Igbo unity and advocate for additional states in the South-East.

Reflecting on his personal interactions with the late leader, Eze Eke of Isi Ubomiri lamented the timing of Chief Iwuanyanwu’s passing, acknowledging his philanthropic gesture of donating a blood bank to a local hospital. He remembered him as a man who valued popular opinion on national matters and championed the interests of the Igbo people and the nation.

In a similar vein, Eze Ohanwe of Isiama community, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area, highlighted Chief Iwuanyanwu’s dedication to building human capacity, fostering national unity, ensuring peace and security, and safeguarding the lives and properties of all Nigerians.
