Leadway Assurance Company to Sponsor Lady Stallions in Rugby World Cup Qualifiers

The sponsorship for the Women’s Rugby League World Cup Qualifiers has been secured by the Nigerian Rugby League, as reported by PUNCH Sports Extra.

In a recent announcement, the Nigerian Rugby League expressed gratitude towards Leadway Assurance Company for their sponsorship support.

The statement conveyed, “A big thank you to Leadway Assurance Company Limited for being a proud sponsor of the Women’s Rugby League World Cup Qualifiers! Your support means the world to us and helps push our team to new heights. We appreciate you, Leadway.”

A pivotal Middle East-Africa qualification series awaits as Kenya prepares to host Nigeria in a two-match test series scheduled for September 19 and September 22 at Impala Club Rugby Ground, Nairobi.

For the 2026 Women’s Rugby League World Cup qualification, there are four confederation qualification tournaments set for each of the four International Rugby League confederations (Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Middle East-Africa).

The direct qualification route for Europe involves two group winners, while the play-off winner of the runners-up will compete against the winners from the other three tournaments in the 2025 World Series for the final two spots in the 2026 Women’s Rugby League World Cup.

Participation in the qualification process is open to all full and affiliate member nations that did not qualify through the 2021 World Cup.
