Lead British School vows to take action against students involved in bullying incident captured in viral video


In response to a video that went viral showing students bullying a peer, the Lead British International (LBI) school in Abuja has stated that it will be implementing disciplinary actions against the perpetrators.

According to a statement released by Abraham Ogunkanmbi, the Head of School at LBI Abuja, the school is committed to addressing the issue.

Following the circulation of the video depicting a female student being harassed by classmates, there has been widespread condemnation from the Nigerian public.

Ogunkanmbi mentioned that the school has already reached out to the affected student and her family, offering support which includes access to counseling services to help them navigate the emotional and psychological aftermath of the incident.

He further stated, “We will be engaging with the students involved and their families, providing counseling and necessary disciplinary measures to address their unacceptable behavior, which has no place in our society.”

“A thorough investigation has been promptly initiated with a dedicated team appointed to gather information, including a review of the video footage and interviews with witnesses, to fully comprehend the situation and determine the underlying causes behind it,” Ogunkanmbi added.
