Real Madrid legend Marcelo has reacted to the decision of veteran midfielder Luka Modric to remain at the club.
The Brazilian sent a heartwarming message to his former teammate as the 38-year-old midfielder signed a new deal at Santiago Bernabeu.
Modric will now stay at the Spanish capital club until 2025.
There was uncertainty about his future after his previous contract expired on June 30 but he has now signed a new contract.
Modric and Marcelo shared the pitch at Los Blancos for 10 years before the latter’s departure in 2022.
Marcelo shared a story on Instagram dedicated to the midfielder’s contract extension, with the caption: “Congratulations, my brother. Luv u.”
